2018 Side by Side Event
A huge thanks to everyone who joined us at the ‘Side by Side’ Fundraising Event 2018 at Martineau Gardens in Birmingham on Saturday 24th November, and for the very brave who took the challenge all the way and slept overnight!
For what seemed like the impossible to get our first event up and running in such a short time over 50 people registered
We DID Achieve the Incredible as our pictures and videos show.
We raised awareness of the hub, met lots of nice people, brought people together, had fun and most of all, 100% of the event ticket sales will help to keep people on the streets warm this winter.
Let’s Feed Brum is the charity that does a great job with 100% volunteers on the front line!
Your support through ticket sales will supply, much needed sleeeping bags.
LFB soup kitchen operates in Birmingham City Centre 6 nights a week, every week,
Volunteers offer friendship, hot food and every day essentials to 100’s of homeless people.
It’s amazing to have such support and to be able to support others x
We did survive!
We did survive! – Thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality, the weather was kind too. Hats off to the workers & hopefully more will join in next year, they really don’t know what they missed!
We did it!
In the middle of the night ,under a full moon with a full tummy and open fire ,With mates and friends and family supporting it makes me Feel very fortunate to have a warm bed and roof over my head to go home too. This is a bit of fun for one night… my god, homeless is not fun. I’ve talked to someone tonight who was previously homeless living on the streets and he says the cold is hard but the fear of being attacked is so much worse.
Donate clothes, blankets, food, coats, hot water bottles and sleeping bags if you can to your local Homeless support group.
We are all so lucky .. & tonight as corny as it sounds ,I’m Humbled. Lovely breakfast, now pack up and come home .. thank for such wonderful and memorable hospitality and keeping us warm all night.
We all did it !! xxx
Great night with great people ☺️ great idea 👍…Count me in for the next one xxx
Braved the cold!
Just got back home from a great sleep out. We braved the cold round the campfire and through great laughs and company we did indeed achieve the incredible!
Wondering if there was anything I can do!
My mum was at the sleepout last night and she was telling me today about the work you do with the women’s refuge. I’m up for donating anything I can to help this Christmas and was wondering if there’s anything I can do? I’m a bit of a crazy crafty lady so attempt to make all sorts of things. I have a business called ElleBelle Prints, most of the stuff I make is personalised which I’m not sure if that’s any good for you and I’ve also been making Personalised Santa Plates for this Christmas. Or I could even just donate bought presents? I’d love to help anyway I can. Let me know x
We could not be happier to give our complete support
‘I was glad we were in a safe environment. I can’t imagine how difficult every single day must be for those on the streets. We slept-out with people who had been homeless. They told us that everything from bitterly cold weather to fears of being attacked by strangers pre-occupied them constantly while they were on the streets. Our firm is so proud of Angela for the work she has done to help homeless people to turn their lives around. We could not be happier to give her our complete support.’
Make the Impossible Possible
I’ve wanted to support this great cause for some time but have struggled to find people who deliver on plans for projects that bring real change to people’s lives. Angela is that person. She gets things done. Achieve the Incredible is already making postcodes across our great city better places to live for so many people. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful partnership with Achieve the Incredible, which will help people who are facing major setbacks in their lives and were told that they couldn’t, or they shouldn’t succeed, to make the impossible possible!
